What is the role of the PTC?

The Sauvie Island School Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is a volunteer-led, nonprofit fundraising organization that raises money for the support of enrichment programs for Sauvie Island School. Are there ways I can help?

Absolutely! We need volunteers for many tasks that can be accomplished through your help! There are tasks to fit every schedule. Contact the Parent Teacher Club at ptc@sauvieislandschool.org to learn more about how to get involved!

What is the Auction?

The Auction is the Sauvie Island School PTC's largest fundraiser of the year! It is an opportunity for the community to celebrate the good works Sauvie Island School provides to children, families, and the surrounding communities. All purchases made during the event support Sauvie Island School!

What is the goal of the Auction?

Our Auction is about building a strong school community, bridging the communities that make up our student body, and raise funds to support our school enrichment programs. This year we hope to raise awareness and funds for needed facility renovations and to benefit the Place-Based Education unique to Sauvie Island School! 

Can I be a Sponsor for the Auction?

We would love for you to be a Sponsor! We have many levels of sponsorships to choose from. Sponsorships can be purchased on the Sponsors page, or contact PTC Treasurer, at ptctreasurer@sauvieislandschool.org.

What is the Silent Auction?

Local and non-local merchants, members of the community, teachers, and SIS families donate numerous items that are packaged for auctioning. Some Silent Auction offerings may include: wine, gift certificates for goods and services, themed baskets full of goodies, unique pieces from local artists, experiences, projects made by SIS classes, and more. Keep on eye on the Catalog page, visit the Sauvie Island School PTC page on Facebook, or sisptc on Instagram, for updates on both Silent and Live Auction donations.

What is the Live Auction?

Live Auction items are typically bigger items and may also include some projects made by SIS classes. This is a traditional auction with an auctioneer taking bids. You will receive a bidder paddle at registration. If you want to bid on an item in the Live Auction, hold up your bidder paddle high so your bidder number is visible and make sure the auctioneer and crew notices you!

What volunteer jobs need to be filled?

We are always looking for volunteers interested in helping for the Auction! Whether it is doing tasks in advance, or helping to set up and tear down the event, we need you! Contact the Parent Teacher Club at ptc@sauvieislandschool.org to learn more about how to get involved!
