What is the Auction?
The Auction is the Sauvie Island School PTC's largest fundraiser of the year! It is an opportunity for the SIS Community and all of the surrounding Businesses and Communities to celebrate the school, shop for goods and services, and to enjoy dinner and dancing together. All purchases made during the event support Sauvie Island School!
What is the goal of the Auction?
This year we hope to raise $100K to benefit the Place-Based Education unique to Sauvie Island School! Our Auction has always been about building a strong school community, bridging the communities that make up our student body, and to raise funds to support our school enrichment programs.
What is the role of the PTC?
The Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is a volunteer-led, nonprofit fundraising organization that raises money for the support of enrichment programs for Sauvie Island School. Money raised from the 2018 Auction will completely fund Sauvie Island School's Art and Music classes for the 2018-2019 school year, and supplement the budgets for the Library, technology, field trips, class room supplies, and more. The Auction is entirely organized by volunteers from the PTC. Our volunteers include parents, teachers, and members of the surrounding communities. Anyone and everyone with an interest in the success of the school can be a member of the PTC.

What is the Silent Auction?
Local and non-local merchants, members of the community, teachers, and SIS families donate over 100 items that are packaged for auctioning prior to the event. Some Silent Auction offerings may include: wine, gift certificates for goods and services, themed baskets full of goodies, unique pieces from local artists, experiences and more. Keep on eye on the "2018 Catalog" page or visit the Sauvie Island School PTC page on Facebook for updates on both Silent and Live Auction donations.
What is the Live Auction?
After the Silent Auction closes, everyone moves into the dining room and the Live Auction commences after dinner. Live Auction items are typically bigger items and also include some projects made by SIS classes. This is a traditional auction with an auctioneer taking bids. You will receive a bidder paddle at registration. If you want to bid on an item in the Live Auction, hold up your bidder paddle high so your bidder number is visible and make sure the auctioneer and crew notices you!
